V4 expands the one-shot protocol into seven search spaces: domains, contribution lenses, kernels and anchors, mathematics, physics, experiments and reviewer attacks. The scope and budget are fixed first; candidates and refutations become structured state before review, repair and termination.
Philosophy
Research exploration should be resumable, reviewable and able to explain failure. Prior work becomes a boundary map for search, not merely a bibliography; a candidate without a sufficient refutation ledger cannot simply acquire a novelty conclusion.
Architecture & control flow
- 01
Lock the search envelope and map saturated, underexplored and collision regions.
- 02
A Python orchestrator, JSONL tree store, operator policy and conditional mathematics–physics bridge provide the execution scaffold.
- 03
Seven quality floors cover reframing, prior comparisons, failure modes, theoretical conditions, alternative explanations, blind spots and measurement protocols.
- 04
Save the tree, ledger, run state, decision log and final report, distinguishing internal acceptance, repair and failure outcomes.

What this version changes
Compared with the V3 model protocol, this archive adds persistent state, structured gates and engineering orchestration. Although the ZIP is named v4.1, it also contains the V4-pro execution layer and a V4-pro-tested summary.
Implementation & evidence scope
This snapshot still contains Python-generated placeholders, literature placeholders and scaffolded review scores. The tested summary explicitly states that one model played the roles inline and recalled prior literature; it is a protocol example rather than independent multi-model, live-retrieval or scientific-effectiveness validation.
Code & bundled material
The introduction draws on bundled notes, changelogs and central code. Software tests, synthetic diagnostics and scientific effectiveness use different evidence standards.
